Hoar Frost

As you may have guessed from all my snow pictures, it is cold around here. Lately we’ve been having freezing fog in the evening and morning, clearing to beautiful sunny days that are all the more stunning thanks to the signs of fog left behind.

The trees are all limed with white as if done by a paintbrush.

The deck railing sprouted strange creatures.

It looks like a snowy sea slug!

Hoarfrost on the glass, left by Jack Frost’s fingers.

Feathery bits of frost stuck to the deck railing.

It is amazingly beautiful in its fragility and once the weather warms up, all gone.
